Korean movies for sure are really entertaining.
The subjects they take on can be damn brutal, but they seem to create the things they like to create and the actors are also amazing.
While in Japan, if “Kabe-don" is popular then take the currently most popular idol and make them act in the main roles of movies that are all the same. They are aiming for nothing but popularity.

It's gonna be annoying when this will be used to gloat, but to be honest this is amazing.
Domestic market has been maxed out so Korean entertainment industry has been trying to break into the overseas market for more than 10 years. For real this sure isn't the time to do useless national policy projects like "Cool Japan".

Well of course they are going to be excited, they won not only the best director but the best picture too; I’d have no objection on them getting excited over this even after the longest time.
This SURELY is an impossible task for us with the current lot of Japanese film industry people and current actors.
So I pay my utmost respect while congratulating; Korean movies did amazing!

All the while Japan keeps producing the same boring repetitive story of idols and high school girls falling in love while dying of a disease; then trying anime movies at Academy Awards yet getting shown the door; Korea wins the best picture.
So I wish the producers of Japanese movies gets a wake up call with this and actually strive to create proper movies.

"Parasite”’s script, the actors, their acting were all extraordinarily brilliant and even after watching it, it leaves you with such a mysterious lingering feeling.
I knew for sometime that Korean entertainment industry has passed beyond our level in singing, dancing movies etc,
But seeing how they created this masterpiece.. well I am filled with awe.

I was thinking if Parasite was done by Japanese actors who’d be casted; but I can’t even think of anyone.
There are no more good actors in Japan… if it were the past there’d be so many actors who could do this.
We can’t go against the world with superficial acting of those mass produced ikemen’s of Japanese show business.

With Music they got BTS - 3 American Music Awards.
With Movies they got Academy Awards.
Korea’s soft power is continuing to rule over the world.
On the other side Japan has … AKB (LOL) and Johnny’s (LOL)
